First Publications from the Polaris µ-CT System at the 3D Imaging Centre

The first article, “Characterization and quantification of anisotropy in mozzarella cheese: Exploring the impact of structural anisotropy on functional properties using complementary analytical technologies”, was published in April 2025 in Food Structure.

In June, a second paper followed: “Correlative X-ray imaging to reveal the dissolution of nanoparticles and nutrient transport in plant foliar fertilization”, published in Frontiers in Plant Science.

The Polaris µ-CT, developed by Exciscope AB, was the very first instrument acquired under the DANFIX research infrastructure, supported by NUFI. These publications demonstrate the broad scientific potential of the system, spanning from food science to plant biology.
